Social Networking

As we look ahead to 2011, we want to leverage social media to build the Vision Expo community and brand awareness year-round. There are great things happening across all of our events, and we want to know:

  • What’s working for you?
  • What have you learned?
  • What are you thinking about doing?
  • What are you dying to try?
  • What are your customers saying?
  • Are you part of the conversation?

We don’t have the answers. We don’t even know most of the questions or how to connect dots that keep evolving. However, we do know that your input will help us improve upon what we’ve started and inspire us to try more.

Use this page as a quick- reference help guide and to Join our “conversation” as we dig deeper into the powerful and ever-changing landscape known as “Social Media”.

E-Marketing

34-706-V
5:00PM - 6:00PM

Many people think Facebook is a social media "toy". You might think of social media sites as simply a place to contact and keep up with friends. However, social media sites (i.e. Facebook, MySpace) are fast becoming a very necessary tool for businesses/practices. Businesses, large and small, are using social media to attract new customers and keep existing ones up to date. However, there are pro's and con's to having your practice on a social media site and many do's and do not do's if you do decide to join the social media business craze. This session will discuss; why you should/should not sign up, what sites to join, how to do it and how to maximize the opportunity.

Speaker:
Bob Main, ABOM/FNAO
